Night EMS Lieutenant Position
Chatham Emergency Services now has an opening for the Night EMS Lieutenant. This position will support the supervisory responsibility with the EMS Night District Chief. The Lieutenant supervises Chatham team members before, during, and after responses to emergency calls. Performs advanced and basic life support procedures. Under a physician's directions, provides treatment or directs response team in the administration of medications, intravenous solutions, respiratory assistance, EKG monitoring, telemetry transmissions and other life support procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily in an ambulance and outdoor settings, in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes, during day and night shifts. The employee may be frequently exposed to blood borne pathogens, communicable, and/or contagious disease. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use repetitive motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, handle, operate objects, tools, controls, reach with hands and arms and perform similar actions during the course of the day. The employee is required to lift (minimum of 200 lbs.) and move moderate to heavy objects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Georgia EMT-Paramedic
-Three (3) years validated EMS Experience (Ambulance Service)
-One (1) year employment with Chatham Emergency Services
-Good Standing Employment Record with CES
-Knowledgeable of CES Standard Operating Procedures
-NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
-Q0426 Introduction to Fire & EMS Supervision and Management
