Human Resource/Front Desk Coordinator

Chatham Emergency Services has a current opening in the human resources department. Working under the HR director , the job description of human resources coordinator includes organizing and scheduling of employees' orientations. They address issues raised by existing employees or new-hires and also coordinate other human resources functions such as staff training and development. This is a full time position Monday-Friday 8 am- 5pm.

Work Tasks:

  • Responding to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
  • Coordinating Front Desk Receptionist Duties (answering telephones, filing and scanning files)
  • Processing Mail, Deliveries & Packages
  • Redirecting HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team's agenda
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Administer Drug Test
  • Support Human Resource Generalist & Human Resource Director with Daily Tasks
  • Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback

Skills

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, in particular)
  • Responding to business emails, faxes, letters, and other human resources related forms
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems
  • Support other functions as assigned

Physical Skills

  • Ability to sit for extended amounts of time
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to Drive Company Vehicle
