Full-Time Collection Clerk

Chatham Emergency Services is currently seeking a qualified collections clerk. The candidate must have the ability to deal with a busy work environment. We are looking for a candidate who will provide great support for the Fire Accounts Receivables Department.

DUTIES

• Strong collections skills for outstanding accounts
• Ability to utilize various tools ( i.e. search engines, websites, etc.) to research customers and update customer database
• The ability to contact customers via telephone and/or email to collect payments 
• The ability to post payments, process payments (checks, cash & credit cards) to customer's accounts within our accounts receivable software
• Maintains Professional Demeanor (via telephone, email & in-person)
• Utilize the SalesForce Database to record, research, review and create new accounts
• Electronic Billing Process (Front End/Back of Billing)
• Experience with Salesforce (Preferred)
• Excellent oral & written communication skills
• The ability to work with the both internal staff as well as customers within the community
• Answer emails & phone calls
• Maintaining Electronic Filing System (Including Scanning)
• Provide Support for the Accounts Receivable Department for Fire Account Receivable Accounts

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must possess the following skills:

• Experience with multi phone lines
• Has great customer service skills internally and externally
• The ability to multitasks between projects
• Type at least 25-30 WPM
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Maintain a Positive Attitude
• The ability to utilize basic office equipment (fax machine, telephone, scanners, computers)
• Proficient in data entry including Microsoft Office Products & not limited to other applicable software
• Self-Starter with the ability to complete task with great autonomy
• Utilizes basic mathematical skills
• Ability to successful pass a complete background check (including criminal & credit background check)
