Front Desk/Billing Receptionist

Chatham Emergency Services is looking for an ambitious Billing Clerk/Receptionist to join our team. We're
seeking an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities a self-starter
who can work independently but who is a good team-player. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two
years' experience with accounts receivable, and invoicing, collection experience and taking ownership of work
output.


Responsibilities
- Process fire subscription invoices from Salesforce and create invoices while ensuring billing is completed timely and
accurately.
- Work accurately and calmly in a high transaction environment.
- Responsible for initiating calls to delinquent customers to collect payments on past due fire subscription accounts.
- Perform general office and clerical duties as well as answering inbound calls and transferring to the corresponding
department.
- Post EMS Billing cash receipts, settlements, and patient payments.
- Perform EMS quality assurance to include monitoring the accuracy of submitted reports and working closely with
third-party billing company.
- Maintain customer and patient confidence and maintain HIPPA compliance by protecting PHI.
- Apply payments to corresponding outstanding invoices and credit memos.
- Answer inquires and provide information to the public, customers, patients, and staff of the organization.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

-1- 2 years of experience in collections and cash applications
-1- 2 years of medical billing experience
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Desire to understand process, identify improvements and implement change.
-Ability to multi-task and manage competing requests in a professional manner.
-Highly detail oriented, fast learner, ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
-Provide outstanding customer service experience.
-Basic understanding of accounting principles.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to work independently, self-starter and a team player.
-Microsoft Office Suite competence.
-Ability to quickly learn new software.

Preferred Qualifications
-High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
-Experience in Salesforce
