Fire Accounts Receivable Lead Coordinator

Chatham Emergency Services is seeking a Lead Accounts Receivable Coordinator. Chatham is looking for a independent, self-starter to lead our fire accounts receivable team. This position directly reports to the Finance Director.

Role & Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for ensuring Fire Subscription accounts receivables remain current, daily processing of customer cash receipts, correspondence, credit memos, and subsequent follow-up.
• Work accurately and calmly in a high transaction environment
• Make collection calls and correspondence to customers.
• Research and analyze customer payments, and deductions/charge backs.
• Apply payments to corresponding outstanding invoices and credit memos.
• Maintain data integrity within billing system.
• Weekly and end of month reporting to Finance Director.
• Effectively communicate with customers and senior management.
• Maintain and enforce policies and procedures for Fire Subscription accounts receivable functions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in collections and cash applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Desire to understand process, identify improvements and implement change.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing requests in a professional manner.
• Highly detail oriented, fast learner, ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
• Provide outstanding customer service experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, self-starter and a team player.
• Microsoft Office Suite competence.
• Ability to quickly learn new software.

Preferred Qualifications

• High Proficiency in Excel
• Experience in Salesforce Software
