Fire Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Chatham Emergency Services has a current opening for a billing coordinator. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a team player. CES billing department provides billing and clerical support for all aspects of the billing process.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process fire subscription invoices from the accounts receivable system and create invoices while
  ensuring billings are completed timely and accurately.
• Work accurately and calmly in a high transaction environment
• Responsible for initiating calls to delinquent customers to collect payments on past due fire
  subscription accounts.
• Assist EMS billing in cash application, settlements, and patient payments.
• Assist in EMS quality assurance to include monitoring the accuracy of submitted reports, and
  working closely with third-party billing company.
• Maintain customer confidence and maintains HIPPA compliance by protecting PHI.
• Apply payments to corresponding outstanding invoices and credit memos.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1- 2 years of experience in collections and cash applications
• 1- 2 years of medical billing experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Desire to understand process, identify improvements and implement change.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing requests in a professional manner.
• Highly detail oriented, fast learner, ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
• Provide outstanding customer service experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, self-starter and a team player.
• Microsoft Office Suite competence.
• Ability to quickly learn new software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Salesforce Software
