EMS Training Assistant

Chatham Emergency Services currently has an opening for an EMS Training Assistant. This position will assist the EMS Training Officer with daily clerical tasks. The EMS Training Facility is a fast paced environment. This position requires compiling and maintaining personnel training records. Record data for each employee, such as training rosters, scheduling clinical rides coordinating clinicals for students and teaching classes. May prepare reports and complete QA/QI for clinical records and issue counseling for protocol and clinical issues that arise.

Tasks:

• Explain company personnel policies, protocols, and procedures to employees.
• Record data for each employee, including such information as training records, class attendance and records, testing results, clinical schedules and third person ride alongs.
• Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to training activities.
• Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, classifications, and state / training specific reporting measures.
• Overseeing parts of the new hire testing process
• Answer questions regarding examinations and other pertinent information.
• Assist with and teach in various EMS classes to include courses provided by AHA, NAEMT, and initial education programs.
• Create training files for new employees / students.
• File paperwork and records
• Filter phone calls and emails
• Assist with some administrative functions and serve as a proxy in the absence of the Training Captain.
• Assist new employees with completing new hire paperwork, clinical rides and skills verification and check off.
• Must still be available to work on ambulance as needed to assist operations

Education:

• Current Georgia Paramedic in good standing
• Current Georgia Level III Instructor
• Current AHA Instructor Credentials
• PHTLS Instructor Certification 
• Associate Degree (Preferred)
