EMS Captain Position

Chatham Emergency Services (CES) has an immediate opening for an EMS Captain Position. CES is located in Chatham County here in Southeast Georgia. 

DUTIES: Supervises Chatham EMS team members. Performs advanced and basic life support procedures under medical direction.

Supervises daily work and PR schedule.  Provides a robust marketing plan to develop, implement and sustain non-emergency and emergency transports with hospitals, skilled nursing and other healthcare facilities. Build and maintain positive relationships with community and internal stakeholders.

Prepare and provide daily performance measures reports. Provide logistical direction and support during daily operations, special events, and disasters. Maintains EMS vehicles, equipment, and supply levels. Inspects apparatus and equipment on a routine basis.

May assume duties of EMS officer when absent or when the need arises.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of basic and advanced life support procedures

Knowledge of department policy, procedures and protocols

Knowledge of the principals of marketing and basic public relations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Georgia EMT-Paramedic

Three years of EMS Experience

One year of supervisory experience

NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800
